For centuries, members of the big cat family have been the most widely recognized and admired wildlife species. They are metaphors of courage, valor, bravery and unopposed reign across civilizations. But ours is the most unfortunate era when the mere existence of these magnificent jungle denizens is under threat.
For this reason, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) has dedicated the World Wildlife Day 2018 i.e. today, the 3rd of March to the theme of ‘Big Cats: Predators Under Threat’
This is our golden opportunity to celebrate the myriad bright and colorful facets of wild flora and fauna and to pledge our active dedicated participation in raising awareness against wildlife crime and human-induced extinction of their species.
Let’s celebrate the wild! conserve them! love them! save them!
