Tour Overview

Western and Central India carry some of the most varied wildlife terrain in the country. This 11 day tour moves through Ranthambore, Jawai, Little Rann of Kutch, and Gir, covering big cats, grassland birds, and rare mammals across four distinct habitats. Ranthambore opens the trip with Bengal tigers and old fort ruins rising above the forest, followed by Jawai, where leopards move across granite boulders and crocodiles line the dam.

Little Rann of Kutch comes next, one of India's great birding landscapes, its salt flats and scrub home to the Indian wild ass and large flocks of flamingos, covered over two days across different areas. Gir closes the tour, the only place in the world to see wild Asiatic lions, with three safaris spread across different zones for strong sighting chances.

  • Bengal Tigers in Ranthambore's fort-ringed lakes and forest
  • Leopard sightings on Jawai's open granite landscapes
  • Crocodiles and Flamingos at Jawai Dam
  • Indian Wild Ass in the salt flats of Little Rann of Kutch
  • Asiatic Lions in Gir, the only wild population in the world
  • Outstanding birding across LRK and Jawai
  • Four distinct habitats covered in one connected route
