  • Track fresh pugmarks, listen to jungle calls, and learn about big cat behaviour as you follow their trail.

Four reserves, read in full.

Not a single circuit but a change of ecosystem each time - forest tiger to open-country lion, with the character of each park given room to show.

01

Bandhavgarh

Madhya Pradesh

A cliffside fort of uncertain age overlooks the Tala and Magadhi valleys - some of the highest tiger density recorded anywhere in India, and the trip's opening chapter straight off the road from Jabalpur.

5 Safaris · 3 Days

02

Kanha

Madhya Pradesh

Sal forest and bamboo thicket at the largest scale of the four - shared between the tiger and the hard-ground barasingha, found in the wild nowhere else on earth.

3 Safaris · 2 Days

03

Tadoba

Maharashtra

Teak forest breaking into golden grassland - among the most consistent reserves in the country for daylight sightings, and a change of terrain after the sal belt further north.

5 Safaris · 3 Days

04

Gir

Gujarat

Dry deciduous forest and scrubland - the only place on Earth where the Asiatic lion still roams wild, and the trip's closing chapter, a full change of species after three parks of tiger.
