Tour Overview

Starts with history. Orchha sits calm along the Betwa, its forts and cenotaphs made for slow walking. Khajuraho follows, its temple carvings opened up through guided visits that explain what the stonework is actually saying.

Then the trip turns wild. Panna's river country and rocky terrain hold a tiger population on the rise, covered across morning and evening safaris in different zones. Satpura closes things out with a remoter, quieter forest - hills, valleys, thick cover - and a boat safari that breaks up the jeep drives. A good fit for travellers who want both temples and tigers, without choosing between them.

  • Wander Orchha's forts, palaces, and riverside cenotaphs at an unhurried pace
  • See the Khajuraho temples by day, then the evening light-and-sound show that brings their history to life
  • Jeep safaris through Panna's river valleys, plateaus, and mixed forest
  • Tigers, leopards, deer, crocodiles, and strong birdlife around Panna's water zones
  • Satpura's quieter side - forest safaris paired with a slow boat ride on the river
  • Culture and wildlife in one clean route, with no long hauls or rushed mornings

Two temples, two forests, read in full.

Heritage days paced for walking, not rushing - then two reserves with room enough for the terrain and the wildlife to actually show themselves.

01

Orchha

Madhya Pradesh

Sandstone temples carved to their last inch, still standing a thousand years on - a light and sound show after dark, guided walks by daylight, more art than most travellers expect from a single site.

2 Days · 1 Town

02

Khajuraho

Madhya Pradesh

Forts and cenotaphs set along the slow curve of the Betwa River - a town built at the scale of an afternoon walk, not a monument circuit, and the trip's unhurried opening.

2 Days · 1 Town

03

Panna

Madhya Pradesh

Rocky plateau cut by the Ken river - a reserve still rebuilding its reputation after tigers were reintroduced here from scratch, now home to crocodiles, dense birdlife, and a growing population finding its feet again.

5 Safaris · 4 Days

04

Satpura

Madhya Pradesh

Hills and dense cover with none of the crowds of the bigger reserves - the rare park where a boat safari sits alongside the jeep drives, and the trip's closing chapter.

4 Safaris + 1 Boat Safari · 3 Days

The route, stop by stop.
