Kaziranga Rhino
Extension Tour

A 4-day Kaziranga extension from Delhi. Photograph One-Horned Rhinos, Wild Elephants, and grassland wildlife across three days of safaris in a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Indian Rhino Grazing in Kaziranga

Tour Overview

Kaziranga holds two-thirds of the world's One-Horned Rhino population. Its open grasslands, wetlands, and riverine forest along the Brahmaputra floodplain create dense and varied wildlife habitat. Tigers, Wild Elephants, Swamp Deer, and large waterbird populations share the park with the rhinos.

The park is divided into several zones. Covering different zones across three days gives you varied terrain, different wildlife concentrations, and better photographic conditions at each session.

Kaziranga is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the most productive wildlife destinations in Asia and works well as a standalone extension from Delhi.

  • Two-thirds of the world's One-Horned Rhinos found in Kaziranga

Day 1

Fly Delhi to Guwahati, Drive to Kaziranga, Evening Safari

You fly from Delhi to Guwahati and drive to Kaziranga, a journey of around 220 kilometres through the Assam plains. You check in on arrival and head straight out for an evening safari. The grasslands and wetlands are active at this hour and rhino sightings are common across the open terrain.

Day 2

Morning and Evening Safaris at Kaziranga

A full day of safaris inside Kaziranga. The morning drive covers the core grassland zones where rhino concentrations are highest. Wild Elephants, Swamp Deer, and waterbirds are common sightings alongside the rhinos. The evening safari moves through a different area of the park, picking up different wildlife and better light as the sun drops over the Brahmaputra floodplain.

Day 3

Morning and Evening Safaris in a Different Zone

A third day of safaris covering a new zone inside Kaziranga. Different zones carry different terrain and wildlife densities. Tigers are sighted more regularly in some zones than others. The morning light in the open grasslands is particularly strong for photography. The evening drive closes the day with the floodplain landscape at its most atmospheric.

Day 4

Morning Safari, Drive to Guwahati, Fly Back to Delhi

One final morning safari before checkout. The early light and quiet grasslands make this a strong session for rhino and elephant photography. You drive back to Guwahati after the safari and fly back to Delhi.
