Extension Tour

Few tourists reach Nagzira. This quiet Maharashtra reserve offers Tigers, Leopards, and dense forest wildlife across three unhurried days of morning and evening safaris.

Spotted Deer in Nagzira

Tour Overview

Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary sits in the Gondia district of Maharashtra, around 150 kilometres from Nagpur. This 4-day extension gives you three full days of safaris inside one of Maharashtra's least visited and most rewarding forest reserves.

Nagzira is a small and quiet sanctuary. It sees very few vehicles compared to Tadoba, giving each safari an unhurried and immersive quality. The forest is dense mixed deciduous, with teak, bamboo, and open grassland patches running through the core zone. A large lake at the centre of the sanctuary draws wildlife consistently across all seasons.

Tigers, Leopards, Sloth Bears, Wild Dogs, Gaur, and Sambar move through Nagzira's forests. The birdlife is strong and largely undisturbed. Nagzira works well as an extension from Nagpur before or after a longer Central India wildlife circuit.
