Khajuraho
Extension Tour

A 2-day Khajuraho extension covering all three temple groups. Visit UNESCO-listed Chandela temples, intricate sandstone carvings, and one of India's finest medieval architectural sites.

Khajuraho Temple

Tour Overview

Khajuraho sits in Madhya Pradesh, around 600 kilometres southeast of Delhi. This 2-day extension takes you through all three groups of Chandela temples, built between 950 and 1050 AD and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Western Group is the largest and most celebrated cluster. Its temples carry some of the most intricate sculptural work in India. The Eastern Group is quieter and set among village lanes. The Parsvanatha temple here holds some of the finest individual carvings in the entire complex. The Southern Group closes the visit with the Chaturbhuja temple and its remarkable four-armed Vishnu carved from a single stone.

Khajuraho works well as a standalone extension or as part of a longer Central India route combining wildlife and heritage.
