The Maasai Mara is one of Kenya's best-known wildlife areas, with open grasslands, seasonal rivers, and a wide range of wildlife. This 4-day safari gives you three nights in the Mara, making it suitable for travellers who want a shorter safari without adding several destinations.
The reserve is home to lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, hyenas, and many other species. Morning and afternoon game drives give you time to explore different parts of the reserve and look for both predators and plains animals.

Day 1
Nairobi to Maasai Mara, First Game Drive
Your safari begins in Nairobi, from where you travel towards the Maasai Mara. You can reach the Mara by road or by a scheduled flight from Nairobi, depending on your selected travel arrangement.
After arriving at the Mara and transferring to your lodge or camp, have lunch before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. The open grasslands offer opportunities to see lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, and other wildlife.
Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
Full Day in Maasai Mara, Wildlife and Maasai Culture
Start the day with an early breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive. Explore the grasslands and look for predators, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and birdlife.
You can enjoy a picnic lunch during a full-day safari or return to the lodge for lunch before continuing with the afternoon drive.
Later in the day, visit a Maasai village and spend time learning about local traditions, daily life, cattle keeping, traditional dances, and the community's connection with the land. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening.
Day 3
Full Day in Maasai Mara, Exploring the Reserve
Set out after an early breakfast for another full day in the Maasai Mara. With packed lunch, you can cover more ground and spend longer in the reserve.
The day's route can include open grasslands, river areas, and locations where wildlife has recently been sighted. Look for big cats, elephants, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, hyenas, and other species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during the safari before continuing the drive through the afternoon. Return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4
Maasai Mara to Nairobi, Final Game Drive
Start with an early breakfast and check out from your lodge or camp. Before leaving the Mara, take a final game drive through the reserve and enjoy the last views of its open grasslands and wildlife.
Continue to the Maasai Mara airstrip or begin the road journey to Nairobi, depending on your selected transfer. On arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped at your hotel, preferred location, or airport for your onward journey.
