Build the Front Door to Every Safari We Run
Our website is usually the first place someone meets Big Cats India, long before they meet our drivers, our naturalists, or their first tiger. It needs to load fast, look sharp, and make booking a safari feel simple instead of complicated. That’s the part you’d own.
We’re looking for a Web Design Intern who’s comfortable working inside WordPress and wants real project experience, not just tutorials.
What you’ll be doing
- Building and updating pages on our WordPress site using our existing theme and page builder setup
- Working on WooCommerce listings for our safari packages, pricing, and availability
- Fixing layout issues, broken links, slow-loading pages, and general day-to-day site maintenance
- Optimizing pages for speed and mobile, since a large chunk of our traffic comes from phones
- Collaborating with the content and marketing side to make sure new pages, blogs, and offers go live properly formatted
- Basic on-page SEO, meta titles, descriptions, alt text, image compression, and internal linking
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on experience with WordPress and WooCommerce, whether through college projects, freelance work, or your own site
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JS enough to troubleshoot when a page builder doesn’t behave
- An eye for clean, uncluttered design. We’re not looking for flashy, we’re looking for functional and good looking
- Familiarity with plugins commonly used for SEO, caching, and forms is a plus
- Patience for the unglamorous parts of web work, because there are plenty
