Learn the Forest From the People Who Know It Best
This is the internship for someone who wants to be out there, not behind a screen. Our naturalists are the backbone of every safari we run. They’re the ones reading pug marks, calling alarm signals before a guest even notices, and turning a good sighting into a story someone remembers for years. If you want to build a real career in wildlife guiding, this is where it starts.
What you’ll be doing
- Shadowing our senior naturalists across parks like Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Pench, Tadoba, and Ranthambore during live safaris
- Learning to identify tracks, calls, and behavior patterns of tigers, leopards, and other wildlife
- Assisting guests during game drives, answering questions, and helping them get the most out of every safari
- Building knowledge of local flora, bird life, and forest ecosystems, not just the big cats everyone comes for
- Supporting pre-safari briefings and post-safari debriefs with guests
- Understanding park protocols, gate systems, and conservation guidelines followed by forest departments
What we’re looking for
- A real passion for wildlife and the outdoors. This work involves early mornings, long drives, dust, heat, and monsoon mud, and none of that should put you off
- Some background in wildlife biology, zoology, environmental science, or ecotourism is helpful, but a strong personal interest and willingness to learn matters just as much
- Comfortable spending extended time in the field, away from cities and comforts
- Good people skills, since a naturalist is part guide, part storyteller, and part host
- Physical fitness for early starts and long hours in a jeep or on f
