Panna Tiger Safari Timings

Set along the Ken River in Madhya Pradesh, Panna Tiger Reserve is known for its scenic beauty, waterfalls, and growing tiger population. Whether you’re hoping to spot a leopard on the move or hear the call of a paradise flycatcher, timing your safari well can make all the difference.

Panna runs a twice-daily safari schedule, with entry times that vary slightly between summer and winter. Morning safaris offer cool, fresh forest air and active wildlife movement, while evening drives provide a peaceful golden glow across the rocky hills and teak forests.

Note: Wednesday evening safaris in core zones are closed in Madhya Pradesh, including Panna.

Panna Opening & Closing Months

Panna Tiger Reserve is open to visitors from October 1 to June 30 every year. The park remains closed during the monsoon season (July to September) due to heavy rains and unsafe trail conditions. This seasonal break also gives the forest a chance to recover naturally. While all core zones stay closed during this period, some buffer zones may open occasionally depending on weather and forest department permissions. Always check in advance if you’re planning a monsoon visit.
