Maharashtra – Land of Tigers and Ancient Caves

Maharashtra is often known for its bustling cities like Mumbai and Pune, but for wildlife lovers, it is also a land of deep forests, tiger reserves, and ancient heritage. The state is home to some of India’s most important tiger habitats, with landscapes that range from teak forests to river valleys and rugged hills.

From the popular Tadoba to the scenic Pench (Maharashtra side), and from the bird-rich wetlands of Navegaon-Nagzira to the lesser-known Melghat, Maharashtra is an exciting destination for safaris. Alongside wildlife, the state also offers fascinating cultural experiences from the UNESCO-listed Ajanta & Ellora Caves to traditional village visits.
