Satpura Tiger Safari Timings
Satpura Tiger Reserve is a hidden gem in Madhya Pradesh, perfect for those who love nature without the crowds. Unlike the more commercial parks, Satpura offers a peaceful safari experience—whether you’re in a jeep, walking through the forest, or gliding across the water in a canoe. It’s the kind of place where you slow down and let the jungle set the pace.
Safaris usually begin early in the morning, between 6:00 and 6:30 AM, when the forest is fresh and wildlife is most active. It’s a great time to catch sight of animals like leopards, sloth bears, and a variety of birds. Evening safaris typically start between 2:30 and 3:30 PM and go on till sunset—perfect for soaking in the golden light and quiet beauty of the reserve.
Note: Like most parks in Madhya Pradesh, core zone safaris in Satpura are closed on Wednesday evenings, so plan your visit accordingly.

Satpura Opening & Closing Months
Satpura welcomes visitors from October 1st to June 30th, offering the best wildlife experiences across seasons. The park closes during the monsoon months (July to September), giving the forest time to breathe and recover. While the core zones remain shut during this period, some buffer zones may open, depending on the weather and forest department rules.
